Privacy policy
Last updated 31 October 2026
This policy explains what personal details Anirni collects, why, who sees them, and the choices you have. It covers everything Anirni runs, including features we haven’t launched yet, so you know now how they’ll work. Anything that needs your agreement doesn’t start until you give it.
Who we are
Anirni is an online platform that prepares people for health and safety (HSE) exams. It is run by its three founders, Ali, Mohanad and Omar. The company is being registered in the United Arab Emirates, and this policy will name it, with its address, once it is. Anirni decides how your details are used, and is responsible for them.
For anything about your details, email [email protected].
What this policy covers
The website anirni.com and its learning area, our emails and WhatsApp messages, live classes, and any app we release. When you use another company’s service to reach us, such as WhatsApp, or a social network where you see our posts or ads, that company’s own privacy policy covers what it collects.
What we collect
What you give us
- When you register interest: your name, email address, mobile number, the unit you’re interested in, and the language you used on the site.
- When you create an account: your name, email address, password and preferred language. We store your password scrambled (hashed), so no one at Anirni can read it.
- When you enrol: the name to print on your certificate, your mobile number, country, employer and job title. If a course includes registering you for an exam through a partner centre, we also ask for what that partner needs, such as your date of birth, and say why when we ask.
- When you pay: what you bought, the amount, and your billing name and country. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- While you study: your quiz answers, the work you upload for feedback, and the questions and messages you post.
- When you contact us: what you send by email, WhatsApp, phone or a form, and your answers to any survey or request for feedback.
- If you tell us your exam result, we may record it to see how well our courses prepare people. We only publish your result, your name or anything you’ve said about us with your permission.
What we record as you use Anirni
- Your learning: which lessons you open, how much of each video you watch and where you stop, your quiz scores, what you’ve completed, and the certificates you’ve earned.
- Live classes: when you join and leave, and the name you appear under. Classes are recorded, so a recording includes what you share in class: your voice, your video if your camera is on, and chat messages. Recordings are shown to the learners and tutors on that course.
- Your device and connection: your IP address and the country it suggests, your browser and device type, your time zone, and when you sign in.
- How you found us: campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, from a WhatsApp group or a LinkedIn post), and the site that sent you.
- How the site is used: pages visited, errors, and how long pages take to load.
What others give us
- Our payment provider tells us whether a payment went through, with the card type, its last four digits and the billing country.
- Our live-class provider tells us when each learner joined and left a class.
- If your employer buys your seat, it gives us your name and email address to enrol you.
- If you fill in a form inside an ad on a social network, such as LinkedIn or Facebook, the network sends us what you entered.
- Advertising and social networks give us reports on how our posts and ads perform. These show totals, not who you are.
We don’t ask for sensitive details, such as your health, religion or political views. Please leave them out of your messages and uploads.
How we use it
- To run your courses: your account, live classes and recordings, materials, quizzes, tutor feedback and certificates. We need your details to give you what you signed up for.
- To take payments: to charge you, issue receipts and invoices, handle refunds and disputes, and meet tax law, which includes working out VAT from the country you’re in.
- To send you messages about your course: sign-up confirmations, receipts, class reminders, and a note when feedback is ready. These come while you’re enrolled, because they’re part of the course.
- To tell you about our courses and offers, by email and WhatsApp. We only do this if you’ve agreed, and you can stop it at any time. The interest form asks for this agreement.
- To keep Anirni safe and fair: to stop bots and fraud, protect accounts, spot an account shared between people, deter copying of our videos (they show your name across the picture), and check that the work you submit is your own.
- To improve Anirni: to see which pages and lessons work, where people get stuck, and what goes wrong. Our own server records cover most of this; analytics tools are only used with your agreement (see Cookies).
- To personalise Anirni for you: to remember your language and where you stopped, show your progress, and suggest the next lesson or course that fits what you’ve studied.
- To measure and improve our advertising: campaign tags tell us which posts bring people to the site. Only if you agree, we also use advertising cookies, and may show you our ads on other sites and social networks based on your visits, or give an advertising network a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address or number so it can show you our ads, or leave you out of them.
- To meet legal duties and resolve problems: to keep the records the law requires, answer lawful requests from authorities, and handle complaints, appeals and legal claims.
We never sell your details, and we don’t share them for anyone else’s marketing.
Decisions the platform makes
Some things are worked out automatically: quiz marks, whether a recorded lesson is complete (from how much of it you’ve watched and whether you’ve passed its quiz), which lessons unlock next, whether you’ve earned a certificate, and security checks such as blocking repeated failed log-ins. If you think one of these is wrong, email us and a person will check it.
Where it’s stored
Our server and database are in the United Arab Emirates. Some of the companies above store or handle data in other countries, including the United States and countries in Europe. When your details go outside your country, we use companies that commit by contract to protect them, and we follow the transfer rules of the data-protection laws that apply to us, including those of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. If the law requires some data to stay in a particular country, we’ll keep it there.
How long we keep it
- Interest list: until sign-ups have closed for the unit you chose, and no later than 30 June 2027. If you create an account, your details move to it.
- Your account: while it’s open. If you close it or ask us to delete it, we remove your details or make them anonymous within 30 days, except for the records below.
- Certificate records: the name on your certificate, the course, its dates and your completion, for as long as the certificate can be checked with us.
- Payment records and invoices: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Class recordings: for as long as learners on that course can watch them.
- Messages to us: for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked.
- Marketing: until you ask us to stop. We then keep only enough to make sure we don’t contact you again.
- Security records, such as sign-in times and IP addresses: while you stay signed in on that device, and in our server logs for no more than 12 months.
- Analytics data, if you agree to it: no more than 14 months.
- Backups: deleted after 30 days, so anything we delete is gone from them within 30 days.
How we protect it
Every page loads over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Only the people who need your details can see them, each with their own log-in. Backups are kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach puts your details at risk, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the details we hold about you, and give you a copy you can take elsewhere
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete your details, apart from the records listed under How long we keep it
- stop contacting you about courses and offers
- stop using your details in a particular way, including in the decisions the platform makes automatically
You can also withdraw any agreement you’ve given, such as to marketing or to cookies. That stops the use from then on; it doesn’t undo what was done before.
Email [email protected], or reply “stop” to any marketing message from us. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. We’ll answer within 30 days.
If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data-protection authority where you live: in the UAE, the UAE Data Office; in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
Children
Our courses are for adults. If you’re under 18, please don’t create an account or give us your details. If we learn we hold a child’s details, we’ll delete them.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy as Anirni grows, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use details you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect, and ask again where we need your agreement.
